Hey There! Thank you for this helpful video. By the way, I notice lots of people keep on talking about Xobodog Training (do a search on google), but I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you ever tried this dog training program known as Xobodog Training? I’ve heard some awesome things about it.
Hi! Thank you for this helpful video. By the way, I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Xobodog Training (do a search on google), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you thought about this dog training program known as Xobodog Training? I’ve heard several great things about it.
really? XD awesome ^^
awesome!! I will tell you all about my experiences! ^^ maybe they can help you out
Well, not a dog trainer actually xD dog rehabilitator :3 In Germany!? really!? I live right next to you!! In Holland, Nijmegen!
I wouldn’t have expected that you’re open-minded like that.^^
Please let me know about your progress as a dog trainer. It would be nice to share some experiences because I’m going to be a dog trainer here, in Germany.
Thanks ^^ Oh, I most certainly won’t
I will be very careful, and, ofcourse, very calm(or at least as calm as I can manage to be.)
That certainly is the difference. Both are perfectly fine I believe ^^ I also don’t think one is better than the other. They’re only different, but none are wrong ofcourse ^^
Good luck! Don’t put more stress on a dog than you & the dog can handle together.
Yes, force is necessary in some form. You can’t confront a dog with his fear without force if he’s simply avoiding that thing. So you need to make sure that the dog can’t run away or hurt somebody. BUT you can play with the distance to the stimulus & you can reward any positive interaction with it. That’s the difference.
ahh awesome! ^^
)
Well, i don’t agree with that.. but i think that is something we all should be able to think differently about ^^ I’m becoming a dog rehabilitator, using Cesar’s techinques. I must say, nothing is easy… it is far more difficult and dangerous than you might think. Force is often even necisarilly, because just calmness and relaxation won’t always work… (first case: Redzone… wish me luck
Sorry, I’m studying psychology. ^^
So, to sum it up:
In the show Cesar often uses more force than necessary.
uuuhhh.. i only understood the first two sentences… sorry, i’m Dutch, and my english is great, but those are words i’ve never heard of @_@(wel, i did hear stimuli and reinforcement, but i don’t fully understand what they mean yet…)
Every dog trainer uses punishment. You may check the psychological definition. The question is how you apply it (adding aversive stimuli vs. lack of reinforcement). Cesar prevents behaviors by using aversive stimuli and this is only necessary if you use “flooding” to help a dog to habituate to a situation.
haha xD
there is actually no use in punishment in Cesar’s way.. it’s just discipline, not punishment, but you are right ^^ it is, ofcourse, better to prevent then to heal. But Cesar can’t prevent it anymore, when he rehabilitates xd the damage has already been done then. It does look like a good way of interacting with a dog! ^^
Do you think leash-walking can be natural? Just kidding
Try to see it as social grooming and projecting a calm-assertive energy. The only difference between Cesar’s methods and TTouch is the use of punishment. As you see, there’s no need to “snap a dog out of a state of mind” if you can prevent the dog from reaching that state.
well.. i’m not against it… it’s just… quite, not quite yet… its not natural enough for me to use it. with natural, i mean: dogs won’t do it to eachother. I’m a Dutch Dog Psychologist(in training, using Cesar Millan techniques) but i’m not against it!! in my eyes, it’s too much human psychology.. and it’s a dog
Those dogs are SOOOO adorable! We can see how loving and attentive they are… Great job! I will sure try TTouch, here in France, with my cane corso girl!
